Job Description:
RISC Staffing is currently seeking skilled and dedicated CT Technologists to join our PRN (as needed) team in Texas. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in diverse healthcare settings. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans on patients using specialized equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and position patients for CT procedures, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Administer contrast material when necessary, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, performing regular quality checks and troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper imaging techniques and accurate interpretation of results.
- Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CT Technologist.
- Strong technical skills in CT imaging procedures and equipment operation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System).
- Additional certification in specialized imaging modalities.
- Previous experience in a PRN or staffing capacity.
