JOB DESCRIPTION
Works in a dynamic, collaborative and accredited Congenital Pediatric Echo Lab, using advanced ultrasound equipment. Performs echocardiograms on the pediatrics and congenital heart disease population. Care delivery sites includes inpatient and outpatient. Ensures detailed findings are written on preliminary reports, data is accurately entered and critical findings are reported in a timely manner.
- Prepares and examines all Pediatric congenital patients, verifying their identity for echocardiogram examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques, which includes obtaining health status and medical history, patient’s cooperation or ability to tolerate the examination.
- Confirms that the ultrasound examination correlates with patient clinical history and presentation. Inform physician in charge of any contraindications to the procedure.
- Demonstrates proficiency in various echocardiogram modalities. Analyze patient’s medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures and prepares preliminary reports for review and interpretation by Cardiologist, including comparison of previous studies.
- Perform measurements and calculations according to laboratory and IAC protocols and guidelines and provide an oral summary of preliminary findings to the cardiologist.

Shift Hours: 07:30 AM – 4:00 PM
